GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Jerry Earnest Parker, Jr. was born to Jerry Sr. and Linda Parker on February 2, 1988.
He had two siblings: Loleta and Erica. He was the youngest and only boy, so his
parents, particularly Jerry Sr. were happy to balance out the household that was
previously dominated by all girls. Because Jerry was named after his dad, he was
commonly called Little Jerry. From birth, Little Jerry always stole the show with his
childlike innocence, stunts and jokes. He always had the family laughing. But as Little
Jerry got older, he made it clear that you could drop the "Little" and just call him Jerry
because he was grown and mature now.
Jerry graduated from Calvert High School. He worked several jobs including working for
his dad's business, JP Masonry, as a bricklayer. However, as of late, he decided to start
paving his own way and started working for Posner Industries of Hollywood, MD until
his passing. While he lived at home with his parents, he aspired to move out and get
his own place. As a matter of fact, in 2018 Jerry posted on Instagram, "2018 so far,
New job, New car, Now God show me the path to my own place." Unfortunately, Jerry
was unable to accomplish that goal.
Like many of his family members, Jerry was musically inclined. While Jerry, Sr. plays
the keyboard, Jerry Jr.'s instrument of choice was the drums and he was proud of that.
Jerry grew up in the church playing drumbeats on the keyboard alongside his dad and
eventually progressed to playing drums for various churches. Jerry loved music and on
random occasions, you could walk in the Parker's home to hear Jerry dropping some
beats! Besides music, Jerry enjoyed boxing, sports and playing video games.
Jerry was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Gross, Sr.
He leaves the following to cherish his memory: his parents: Jerry and Linda Parker, his
sisters: Loleta Gray (Andy), Erica Boyd (Turk), his grandmother: Florence Gross,
girlfriend Sydney, 3 nephews: Jordan, Kendal and Ethan, 4 nieces: Tamia, Daneya,
Deazha and Autumn, a great-nephew and a great-niece, God brother: Robert A. White
and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends.
