Obituary for ROY WILLIAM KING
Roy W. King peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 6, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born Sunday, October 10, 1948 to Norman S. King and the late, Helen King.
Raised in a Christian home with strong family values, morals and respect, he was educated in Calvert County School System then later pursued careers in both automotive mechanics and maintenance engineering for over forty years. Roy loved unconditionally and went above and beyond for his family and friends. Well known and well like around his community, he was down to earth and didn't hesitate speaking his mind, "Telling people off". After retirement Roy enjoyed spending time outside, especially in the early morning. His hobbies included listening to oldies, dancing, fishing, crabbing and spending time with his brother Ronnie on his boat.
Roy rededicated his life to the Lord in 2017.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Helen King; son, Carlos A Wheeler, four brothers, John N. King, George J. King, Robert L. King and Martin L. King.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and dedicated wife, Merical F. King and Father Norman S. King; four daughters, Alyce M. Morsell (Michael), Darnita Wheeler, Tioya C. Henry (Anthony), Yaque S. Fillie; God Daughter, Shadonna King; two son's, Kevin G. King (Stephanie) and Dilante A. Wheeler, four brothers, Collins King (Kimberly), Richard King (Antonette), Marcell King (Princess), Ronnie King (Marydell); fifteen grandchildren; twenty great- grandchildren; a loving friend to him and Merical both, Margie D. Gross.
