Obituary for ELIZA DRUCILLA DENT
Eliza Jeffersen Dent was born on June 22, 1917, daughter of William Claggett Jefferson and Martha Hutchins Jefferson of Lusby, MD.
Eliza was educated in the Calvert County Public School System.
Eliza grew up in the Church (United Methodist Faith) and she accepted God at an early age. She has been a faithful supporter of her church.
Eliza was united in holy matrimony to Louis Thomas Dent on September 8, 1934. Her husband preceded her in death on February 19, 1984.
Eliza was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She faithfully fulfilled her duties as wife and mother. She bore 8 children and she made unwavering sacrifices for their growth and education.
Eliza was well respected in her community. She was generous and giving to her neighbors.
Eliza leaves to mourn her departing: 3 sons, Louis (Catherine) Dent, Dean (Anita) Dent and Edmund (Patsy) Dent (Covington Dent and Collins Dent, preceded Eliza in death); 3 daughters. Rosetta (Roland) Johnson, Eileen Dent and Sandra (Earl) Jones; 1 daughter-in-law, Virginia Dent; 18 Grandchildren: 13 Great- Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
