Obituary for CHRISTOPHER ALLEN JONES
On Tuesday July 14, 2020 at Bridge Point Hospital, God’s angels visited Christopher “Chris” Allen Jones and took him to his final resting place in God’s Heavenly Kingdom.
Christopher Allen Jones was born on April 8, 1983 in Calvert County, Maryland to father Glen Holland (deceased, m. Delores Parran) and mother Rebecca Coates.
Chris attended school at Southern Middle and Southern High School where he was beloved by his teachers and peers. He gave 20 years of loyal service as an employee of Seafarers Vacation Plan located in Camp Springs, Maryland.
Chris was one of a kind. His smile lit up a room, his jokes kept us laughing and he was very kindhearted. A loving father to Elaja' and Ranea, he enjoyed spending time with them and playing video games. All he wanted was to give his girls the best in everything! Chris delighted in all things sports-related, from basketball to football, but particularly the San Francisco 49ers. A friend to all he met, he relished time spent with “the boys.”
Chris leaves to cherish his Mother Rebecca Coates; Daughters Ranea Quana' Jones, Elaja’ Quanik Atchison; Mother of daughters Rane'sa Atchison; Brothers Jordan Dennis, Glen Holland; Sister Alona Holland. Grandparents Jeraline Stepney (Rick Morris), Marthalene Holland (Leroy) and Calvin Rice; Uncles John Rice, Leonard Rice (Missy) Jason Rice, Samuel Holland, Martin Holland (Shirley) Clifton Stepney (deceased); Aunts ; Patricia Rice, Phyllis Croskey (Tony), Jeraline Hayward (Terrance), Vondella Rice, Donna Lee and Venita Holland and a host of family and friends.
Chris will be taken to his place of rest by pallbearers Marcus Dillard, Justin Harley, William Hartnett, Diante Jones, Harvey Kernslong II, and Marcus Holland. They will be aided in spirit by honorary pallbearers John Rice, Leonard Rice, Jason Rice, Matthew Bowman, Ida Jones and Kristy Clements.
Acknowledgements The family wishes to sincerely express our heartfelt thanks, appreciation and gratitude to each and every one of you, for all acts of love and kindness shown to us during the illness and passing of our loved one. Your prayers have provided and will continue to provide the much needed strength as we go on with this heartfelt prayer that God will abundantly bless and keep each of you.
