Obituary for MATTHEW DAVID SMITH
Matthew was born on May 20, 1987 in Alexandria, Virginia to Nathan and Gwendolyn Smith. He is the twin brother to Justin David Smith, who is one minute older.
Matthew and his brother attended Tayac Elementary School in Fort Washington, Maryland, Clinton Grove Elementary School, in Clinton, Maryland, Stephen Decatur Middle School in Clinton, Maryland, Windy Hill Middle School in Owings, Maryland, and graduated from Northern High School, in Owings, Maryland in 2005.
Matthew worked for Red Hot & Blue restaurant in Prince Frederick, Maryland; Dr. Charles Bennett in Lusby, Maryland; and Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick.
Matthew attended the College of Southern Maryland, in Prince Frederick, Maryland in 2006 for two years and acquired a grade point average of 4.0. Matthew leaves to cherish his memories, his twin brother Justin Smith (Tamelya); his parents, Nathan and Gwendolyn Smith; his two daughters, Ma'desha Phillips and De'yonna Smith; his nephews, Justin A. Smith and Jameson Smith; his grandparents, Rachel Smith (Eugene - deceased), and Shirley James (Ronald - deceased). He leaves behind uncles, aunts, many cousins and friends who will cherish memories also.
Matthew transitioned his life on April 5, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland.
