Obituary for GREGORY AARON MASON
Gregory Aaron Mason, 62, earned his wings on Saturday, January 4, 2020.

He was born on August 14, 1957 in Prince Frederick, Maryland to Gary S. Mason, Sr, and the late Elizabeth Graham. Greg was raised in a loving home with his parents Gary and Annie Mae, affectionately known as "NaNa".

Greg was called "Honeycomb" by his childhood friends, and "Mason" by the love of his life Patsy.

Gregory's life was an example of God's spirit and love at work in every area of his life. He served in the United States Army for J years as an E-4 medic, and was honorably discharged in 1983. He was an active member of St John's United Methodist Church. Greg enjoyed singing praises unto the Lord and because of his love for music, he was very instrumental in forming The Majestic Choir of St. John's United Methodist Church. Greg also was a member of the True Gospel Singer Quartet group. He produced his solo CD entitled "Please Guide Me Jesus."

In 1999, Greg and Patsy moved to Georgia where they have lived for the last twenty years. Greg contim1ed to grow spiritually by allowing the gifts and talents God gave him to positively impact every endeavor, and everyone one he met. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a doting grand Poppie, a proud great grand Poppie, and a faithful son, brother, uncle and friend. He owned and operated Meticulous Painting for 18 years. He served in the Prison Ministry and was an ordained Deacon at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Deacon in Training, and a dedicated member of the Security team at Stronghold Christian Church. He was always lending a helping hand wherever and whenever asked. Greg was a Se roan tat heart. In his spare time, he transformed antique classic cars into timeless pieces of art and grandeur. Greg, Mr. GQ himself, was sharp as a two-edged sword. He had a classy style that made a statement from head to toe. Although Greg had plenty of suits, as one of his hobbies, he enjoyed going to the Good Will, and Apparel Store and put together outfits that looked as if he'd stepped out of a clothing magazine.

A quote from Greg himself, "Put shoe trees in your shoes, buff your shoes every time you put them on, keep them in a box, they will last for Years."

To cherish his memory, Gregory is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Patsy Mason; three sons Tron (Tekea) Mason of Waldorf, MD; Michael (Stephanie) Chase of Nashville, TN; Sean Mason of Huntington, MD; four sisters, Clavenda Smith of Lusby, MD; Deborah (Quentin) Weems of Jacksonville, FL; Valentina Graham, and Marcy Graham of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Gary Mason, Jr of Lexington Park, MD; and Christopher Graham of Lusby, MD; his loving god mother Eliza Foote of Lusby, MD; two god daughters Felicia Lewis and Rasheda Herbert; eight grandchildren, Tiarra, Tron (T.J.), Trenton, Royal, Tristian, Edward, Jhiya, Trevor; l great granddaughter; Five brother-in-laws and spouses, and host of nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving sister Connie Claggett.
