Obituary for WANDA L. MORSELL
The Lord in His infinite wisdom blessed this world on March 16, 1968 with the birth of a loving and caring soul. Wanda Lee Morsell affectionately known as “Boo” was born at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph L. Morsell and to her devoted mother Janice Loretta Hawkins. Her formal education was received from the Calvert County public school system where she graduated from Northern High School, in Calvert County, Maryland. Wanda’s spiritual upbringing began at an early age when she came to the knowledge of faith under Bishop Joseph Nathan Brown of the Greater Bible Way Church, Prince Frederick, Maryland. Wanda’s journey of faith continued as she was led to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and was baptized under Pastor McGriff of the Galilee Baptist Church, Washington, DC. She matured in life through motherhood and found the favor of God through caring for her daughter Serenity and grandchildren, Jihmear and Janiyah. Her professional life began when she worked in various law firms in the DC and Maryland area. Wanda was very passionate about working with court cases. Her continuing education included studies from Fleet Business School where she earned her Associates degree. Wanda moved to Georgia in 2001 and determined to stay in the field of law she was employed at Robins, Kaplan, Miller and Ciresi Law Firm in Midtown, Georgia. Her smile and laughter was always heard. The law firm considered Wanda to be a great administrative assistant and friend. She joined New Birth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Eddie L. Long in 2003.
