Obituary for VINCENT PEPPINS, JR.

Vincent Bernard Peppins, Jr. was born on April 13, 1989 in Cheverly, Maryland to Vincent and Sheila Peppins. On January 13, 2011, God sent down His angels and brought His precious child home.
Vincent was dedicated to the Lord as an infant in 1989 at From The Heart Church Ministries and in December 2010 he re-dedicated himself to the Lord. Vincent was involved in many activities as a chid and youth at From The Heart Church Ministries, he was a member of "None Like Us", BIRTH, summer camps, summer youth retreats and the Youth Institute.
Vincent's primary education was at From The Heart Christian pre-school and elementary from 1993 - 2002. He then attended Mill Creek Middle School and Patuxent High School, where he graduated in 2009. He also attended the College of Southern Maryland and received two certificates of completion for electrical boot camp and construction trades core skills, which qualified him to work in the electrical field.
Vincent became an entrepreneur at the age of 11. The business was call P & H Home and Lawn Care Services. He was Co-owner with his cousin and had other relatives as paid employees. He also held several job in the food and retail business during his teen years. Vincent had a knack for cutting hair and was encourage by his Aunt Angela to work in this trade. He acquired positions at Curtis Barber Shop and All-N-1 Barber Shop, where he had an opportunity to obtain his barbers license under two Master Barbers.
Vincent was on the From The Heart Baseball Team and played football for the Solomons Steelers as a young child. He played basketball for the Mill Creek Middle School and was on the Junior Varsity Team at Patuxent High School. He was also a member of the ROTC at Patuxent High School. He was a long time member of the From The Heart Boy Scouts, where he was an Assistant Patrol Leader and enjoyed many camping adventures. The skills he learned from the Boy Scout Ministry proved to be very valuable, he once saved a woman's life at the Roy Rogers where he was once employed by performing the Heimlich maneuver.
Vincent was also known as Little Vince, Vince, Skinny and Buddy, by his close family and friends. He made friends easily and liked sports, traveling and spending time with his family. He was especially close with his many cousins and they loved just being together doing family activities. One of his favorite family activities was to honor his Grandmother Claudia in the annual Relay 4 Life events in Calvert County, Maryland. This event helped to raise money for cancer treatment and research and to help eradicate the disease.
Vincent leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Sheila and Vincent, Sr.; one sister Trinity; his great-grandmother Eloise Titus; his paternal grandfather James E. Peppins, Sr; his maternal grandparents Dorothy and Robert Campbell; five uncles, James, Jr, Walter Sr., Jerome Sr., Thomas Sr., and Dominic; seven aunt, Virginia, Vernita, Karen, Felicia, Odeen, Angela and JoEthel; eighteen cousins, James III, Carmell, Antoine, Brianna, Alyssa, Deja, Deloris, Sheritta, Walter Jr., Michelle, Keith, Eric, NaShawna, Monique, Tamira, Thomas, Jr., Jonathan Jr., and Taren and a host of other relatives and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories a close family friend Dwight Brown who was always there for him.
Vincent was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Abe and Annie Pippins; Virginia and Jake Fulton and Benjamin Titus, Sr. and grandmother Claudia Peppins; great uncles, Ray Pippins and Benjamin Titus, Jr., great aunt Margaret Tucker and cousin Jerome Jr.
