GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Vincent Bernard Peppins, Sr., the son of Claudia and James Peppins, Sr. was born on September 25, 1960 in Washington, D.C. On November 24, 2022, God sent down his angels and brought his precious child home.
Vincent accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was an usher at Faith Presbyterian Church. He later joined From the Heart Church Ministries in 1988 and remained a member until his passing. He participated in various activities within the church. He was a Troop Leader for the FTHCM Boy Scout Ministry and worked on the Parking Ministry. He attended several Men’s Retreats and Marriage Retreats. He was a very faithful man of God and loved the Lord.
Vincent received his early education in the Prince Georges’ County School system. He continued his education at Lincoln Technical Institution where he studied to be an automotive mechanic. Upon graduation he worked for AAmco Transmissions in Temple Hills, MD. He later was a partner in his own business at B&V Transmissions in Lothian, Maryland. He also held part-time positions at BJs Wholesale, Bowie, MD and the US Postal Service, Capitol Heights, MD. Vincent’s final position was with the Calvert County School System as a Building Service employee at Northern High School for the past seven years.
Vincent was a “Gentle Giant”, he made friends easily and loved traveling and spending time with his family. He was a foster parent to several children within the Calvert County community. He also participated in the Relay for Life (this event helped raised money for Cancer treatment and research to help eradicate the disease), supporting his Wife, Mother and Aunt. Vincent was very helpful and dependable, he would offer his assistance with anything needed. (If you needed car repaired, moving, fixing anything or advice you could count on him). He was adored by his daughter, nieces, nephews and the children he worked with at school.
Vincent and Sheila were united in holy matrimony on October 2, 1986. From this union they had two children Vincent, Jr. and Trinity. He was a very devoted husband and father. His unending love for his wife and family was expressed in many ways.
Vincent leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife Sheila, his daughter Trinity, two foster daughters, Alize and Jesse Phipps and two foster grandsons, Noah and Prestyn.; four siblings Virginia, James, Jr. , Vernita, and Karen; Mother-in-Law, Dorothy Campbell; three Sister-in-Laws, Angela Titus, Michelle Creek and Felicia Peppins; three Brother-in-Laws Thomas and Dominic Creek and Walter Thomas; three Aunt-in-Laws, Phillis Claggett, Pearl Jones and Blanche Creek, four Uncle-in-laws, John (Helen), Ronald (Joan) and Larry (Latasha) Titus and Glen Creek. Eighteen nieces and nephews: James III, Carmell, Antoine, Brianna, Alyssa, Deja, Deloris, Sheritta, Walter, Jr, Michelle, Keith, Eric, NaShawna, Monique, Tamira, Thomas Jr., Jonathan Jr., and Taren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories a close family friend (brother), Drayton Reese, who he could go to for anything and was always there for him.
Vincent was preceded in death by his son, Vincent Jr; his parents James and Claudia Peppins, his brother Jerome Peppins, Sr; his grandparents Abe and Annie Pippins; Jake and Virginia Fulton and Benjamin and Eloise Titus; Father-in-laws, Thomas Creek and Robert Campbell; three uncles Ray Pippins, John Claggett and Benjamin Titus, Jr.; two Aunts Margaret Tucker and Ruth McFadden; and a nephew, Jerome Jr.
