Obituary for Tammy N. Wise

Tammy Wise, 45, of Hyattsville, MD passed away on June 30, 2009 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. She was a native of Lexington Park, MD. At an early age, Tammy received Christ and served as an usher at First Missionary Baptist Church. As an adult, she later joined Shiloh Baptist of Alexandria, VA. Later in life, she moved back to Maryland and joined the First Baptist Church of Glenarden where she served in the hospitality ministry. Tammy loved the Lord.She received her education in the St. Mary's County Public School System. She graduated from Great Mills High School in 1982, and later attended the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC. Tammy was employed with the Federal Government for the past 24 years with her last position as a Human Resource Specialist for CPMS in Roslyn, VA. Also, she worked a number of part time jobs at locations such as Ross, Hechts and Peoples Drug (CVS) to name a few.Tammy had a loving spirit and a passion for people that left a lasting impression on all she came in contact with. She had a compassion for everyone! She was selfless and often placed the needs of others above her own. Direct and to the point, Tammy could be counted on to tell it like it is.Left to cherish her fond memories are her loving parents: Irvin and Eileen Beverly; four sisters: Bridgette Holland (Darryl), Shelly Price, Inez Brothers (Lloyd), and Agnes Gross (Kale); three brothers: Irvin Beverly, Jr. (Christine), Brian Beverly (Sheba), and William Smith; grandmother: Rhatta Johnson; seven nephews, eight nieces, a great niece, a great nephew, two uncles, six aunts, and a host of cousins and friends; three special friends who cared for her during her illness, Jewel Pickett, Mary Medley and Wilbert "Wil" Jones.
