Saundra Jean Wilkins, 56, of Clinton, MD, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Future Care Pineview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, MD.She was the eleventh child born to the late James Edgar Wilkins and the late Lucille Hawkins Wilkins on May 25, 1952 in Washington, D.C. Saundra attended Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine, MD.In 1971, Saundra accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church, Fairmount Heights, MD. She worked as a Records Clerk with Prince George's County Police Department for 14 years. After working with the Police Department, she was employed with M&S Construction as a Payroll Supervisor for 20 years. She earned a certificate in Construction Management and co-owned a construction company with Wanda Jackson until her health failed.
Surviving are 5 brothers, James, Richard, Eddie (Cassie), Wayne, and Ronnie (Helen); 5 sisters, Hattie (Lee), Gladys (Eugene), Sally, Cora Lee (Albert), and Maria (Sam); eleven extended brothers and sisters, Mildred, Harold, Lonnie, Merline, Steve, Maryann, Denise, Diane, Rachel, Rita, and Ricky; an aunt, Margaret Evans; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; six special friends, Wanda Jackson, Barbara Ellington, Josephine Sanders, Ida "Sis", Shirley, and Saundra R. Wilkins
