Susan Louise Coleman Jones was born on December 4, 1961 to Barbara Jean Mack and Don Jose Coleman. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her husband Bryson Jones Sr., her mother Barbara, father Don and stepfather Alfred Wardell Jackson.
Susan was educated in the Maryland Public School system. She was employed by the Library of Congress. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. While raising her three children, she was also a Home Daycare Provider to a number of children, which included family members and countless others. She had a great love for children, and would often provide hot meals to the children in the neighborhood. Susan was affectionately called Miss Susan by the children and many adults in the neighborhood. When her children became adults, Susan began working for a prominent law firm in Washington, DC.
Susan was a member of Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs in Camp Springs, Maryland. Susan was beautiful inside and out. She was a very humble, caring and compassionate person, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Susan had a deep unconditional love for family and loved spending quality time with them. She loved to crochet beautiful blankets for family members and friends. She loved Christmas and loved to display her beautifully decorated tree and other decorations.
Susan was married to Bryson Jones Sr. in September 1982 and from that union she is survived by three beautiful children, two daughters, Paula Coleman, Barbara Jones-Grant (Ross) and one son Bryson Jones Jr. (Regina), of Camp Springs, Maryland. She also leaves to cherish her grandchildren, Danyella, Desiree, Dehlaya, Dawn, Jesse, Zion, Londyn and Zaire. Her sisters, Angela Conley (Leonard) of Fort Washington, Maryland, Judith Joyner (Jerome) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and her brothers Raymond Washington (Pamela) of Strasburg, VA, Barry Coleman (Nicole) of Chantilly, VA and baby brother Garland Coleman (Gina) of Waldorf, Maryland, and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Susan was called home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2020.
