Sharon Lorraine Evans of Landover, formerly of Lothian departed this life Friday, July 20, 2018 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She was surrounded by her family and Pastor, District Elder Carroll Spriggs
Sharon was born in Prince Frederick Maryland on December 1, 1957 to the late Gilbert Griffin and late Margaret Griffin-Blake. Sharon was a 1975 graduate of Southern Senior High School in Harwood, Maryland and was a homemaker.
Sharon was the mother of Joshua Evans and the late Granville Leroy Evans Jr. She also leaves a devoted friend William Marshall.
She also leaves to cherish her brother Marcus Blake (Dianetta) of Waldorf, brother Stewart Blake of Lothian, a sister Sophia Blake and nephew Patrick McBryde of Lothian and a host of Aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews
Sharon was baptized in Jesus name by the late Bishop Jacob A Green and later received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at Bethel Way of the Cross Church in Huntingtown, Maryland. She later joined the Philadelphia Open Door Church Redeem Apostolic Church. She enjoyed Sunday School when she was able to attend.
Sharon loved children and they loved her and enjoyed babysitting. She also enjoyed fishing, her daily shows, crossword puzzles, playing cards, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert Griffin Sr, Margaret Griffin-Blake, her son Granville Evans Jr, two brothers Gilbert Griffin Jr and Douglas E Griffin and sister Beverly Griffin-Ford.
