Obituary for SARAH ELIZABETH MYERS
Sarah Elizabeth Washington Myers was born September 25, 1927, in Saint Leonard, MD to Samuel and Annie Rawlings Washington who preceded her in death. She had a never-ending love for her family.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Alvin Weldon Myers* on October 6, 1951, and thus began the union of two families that would dominate her life and cultivate the person she became.
She quietly and peacefully went home with the Lord on Friday, June 20th as daughter Pat, sat by her side. Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her twelve children: Teresa Marie, Vernon Maurice, Alvin Wesley, Dwight Michael Sr., MacKinnon Weldon, Barry Lionel Sr. (Darlene), Ralph Winchester Sr. (Yhonnie Diann), Patricia Ann, Humphrey Rayfield (Udora), Clarence Anthony (Wanda), Yvette Almalia and Alan Derrick.
Her Thirty Grand Children: Faye, Kenneth*, Nancy*, Lamar, Cherie, Jonathan, Kenny*, Vernon Jr., Michael, Anthony, Talisha, Tonya, Tiffany, Dwight Jr., Marland, Chad, Kyle, Michelle “Shelly”, Barry Jr. “Lonnie”, Michael “Jason”, Renee, Yhonnie, Ralph II*, Ralph Jr. “RJ”, Whitney, Shannon, Tashanda, Grayson, MaSara, and Brandon. Honorary Grand children: Erynn Huff, Jonmika Swan, Mallory Clark Giles. And Thirty-five Great Grand Children, including Gee-Gee’s special angels Nancy, Tahari, Kenny, Jordan Brown, Jacob, Ashlyn, Jordan, and James III* .
Twelve siblings: Leroy, Milford (Bessie), David, Christine (Harry), Mary, Lincoln (Connie), Marquerite, Charles (Jane), and Earl, her sister and brother in-laws Gladys, Richard, Cozzette, and Rosa Lee.
Preceding her in death were her husband Alvin and siblings Susie, George and Clarence.
Her close circle of loved ones also included: Beverly Ann Thompson, Joyce Lee, Mama Thelma, Ms. Constance Johnson, Mack and Barbara Beverly, Charles Weems, Edith Taylor, Vera Johnson, Myra Beverly, Aunt Angela Bishop, Amanda (Cousin Beth), Ms. Zelma Brooks, Russell Costley, Khiree Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends share in her passing.
