Obituary for ROYCE ELVIS HEIGH
Royce Heigh was born the son of Muriel Heigh, Jr. and Sadie Heigh on July 14, 1957. He received his education and graduated from Northern High School. After graduation, Royce expressed a desire and interest to become an electrician. He attended evening classes and later received his certification. Royce had many talents. He loved being independent and working free-lance doing home improvements. Approximately ten years ago he was in a major car accident which left him partially paralyzed, but he always remained positive and never gave up his independence.
In the past year he started his own towing business and had a dream that this would be something big and something he could be proud of. Royce gave his life to Christ early in life and he loved the Lord our God. He would wake up each day, meditate, and read his Bible, giving thanks to the Lord. He loved singing, he was in a gospel group for a short period and it gave him joy to sing for the Lord. Our Lord gave him the strength each day to conquer and endure the pain suffered from his injuries and the many trials and tribulations he faced daily. Through it all, he always remained positive and hopeful for the future. He loved his family unconditionally and always put them first.
Royce married Lavern Harvey, from this union came two children, Katreica and Kiana Heigh. He also had a son, Royce Theopolis Heigh from a previous relationship.
Royce was proceded in death by his father, Muriel Heigh Jr. and mother, Sadie Heigh, brothers; Charles, Marvin, and Sherman Heigh. He leaves to celebrate his life: daughters, Katrecia and Kiana Heigh; son, Royce Heigh; five grandchildren, Tyree Johnson, Kyree Johnson, Amirah Johnson, Zaniyah Heigh and Kennedy Heigh; brothers, William Mackall, Harold and Glenwood Heigh; sisters, Francis Mackall, Rita Adams, Gale Hill, Jean Johnson and Pat Campbell, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, jnephews, cousins and friends.
