affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Rosa Lee Shirley Ann Mackall was born in Calvert County, MD on June 6, 1951, to the late, Clyde and Alverta Mary Mackall of Prince Frederick, MD.
She departed this life after a long illness on May 30, 2016 at Med-Star, Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD. Rosa, affectionately known to many as "Nookie", was a loving, caring person to all who knew her. Nookie was educated in the Calvert County Public School System.
She worked at the Navy Yard cleaning office buildings until her contract ended. She was very passionate about cleaning, washing dishes, sweeping and cooking. She loved doing crossword puzzles and scratch-off tickets.
Nookie was a faithful member of Carroll-Western United Methodist Church, actively serving God until she became severely ill and physically unable to attend services. During her illness, she continued to read her Bible night and day and listen to Gospel music.
She shared a special bond with all of her family and friends. Nookie would give her last, to please someone else, no matter what it was.
Nookie was preceded in death by: her mother, Alverta Mary Mackall; father, Clyde Mackall Sr.; two brothers, Clyde Mackall Jr. and James Mackall; one sister, Mary Lane (Reginald) and nephew, Quamaine Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted daughter, Lenore Kimberly Smith-Jones and son-in-law, Eric Martin Jones (Indian Head, MD); one grandson, Javon Donte Johnson (Waldorf, MD) and one great-grandson, Jaywon Donte Johnson (Indian Head, MD); three sisters, Excella Mackall (Samuel), (Prince Frederick, MD), Laverne and Detris Johnson (Prince Frederick, MD); seven brothers, Leroy Mackall (Prince Frederick, MD), Troy Johnson (Lorraine), (Calvert County, MD), Bo-Bo Johnson (Rochelle), (St. Mary's, MD), Tyrone, Vaughn, Cornell Johnson (Prince Frederick, MD), Terrance Mackall. an Aunt, Celeste Mackall; a God-Daughter, JaNay Chew; God-Son, Javell Thomas and play adopted daughter, Tina Smith, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
