Obituary for RAY A. JOHNSON, JR.
Ray Arron Johnson, Jr., the first child to Ray Johnson, Sr., and Joyce Ann Willett Johnson, was born April 20, 1983 in Calvert County, Maryland. Ray transitioned from this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
“Ray Ray,” as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, graduated from Patuxent High School class of 2002. While attending high school Ray Ray was a member of his high school “Alpha Omega” step team.
“Ray Ray” worked with his father on several construction jobs. At the time of his passing, he was working two jobs. He was installing cabinets in homes and he was employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken. Ray Ray enjoyed spending time with his family. You could find him (pretty much) on any day, saying “that’s right” while hanging out at his grandma Amelia’s. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, posting his finished masterpiece on Facebook, playing the drums, writing music and freestyling. Ray Ray will forever be remembered by his affectionate smile.
“Ray Ray” was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Ann Willett Johnson; grandfather, James Johnson Sr.; maternal great grandparents, Roger and Georgia Willett; paternal great grandparents: Warren and Charlotte Gantt, and Albert and Ernestine Johnson.
“Ray Ray” leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Keiden Gutierrez and Isaiah Lacey; his father, Ray Sr. (Carita Parker); grandmothers: Jane Willett and Amelia Johnson; brothers: Walter Eugene and Kyle Xavier Johnson; sisters: Shenille Johnson and Ariel Ford; nephews: Kylen Johnson and Major Nolan, aunts: Laverne Stewart (Sherman), Victoria, Frances, Casandra, Crystal and Wendy Johnson, and Natasha Thomas, uncles: Thomas Broome (Leslie), James Johnson Jr. (Debbie), William Johnson (Sharron), and James Willett (Michelle); godmother, Shirley Brooks; best friend, WauQuita Johnson; special friend, Alma Abreu and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.
