Obituary for Phillip W. Randall

Phillip Wesley Randall of Hyattsville, MD died on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD.  He was born on Friday, January 16, 1948 in Owings, MD to the late Ernest S. Randall, Sr and the late Laura F. Smith.  He was was the youngest of nine children.He received his education in Calvert County Public Schools. Phillip was a lifelong truck driver employed by Silver Hill Sand and Gravel, Bevard Brothers Trucking Company, Safeway Foods and at the time of his illness Beltsville Refuge.He love to entertain and loved giving advice, whether you asked for it or not.Phillip had a deep knowledge of the word of God and in 2007 gave his life to Christ and was baptized.To know Phillip was to love him.Phillip's parents Ernest S. Randall, Sr. and Laura Smith-Randall, two brothers: Zachariah Smith and Ernest "E Z" Randall, Jr., and one sister Lillian Randall preceded him in death.Phillip leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 20 years, Mary Smith-Randall; two daughters: Regina Nicole Randall (Huntingtown, MD) and Levina Coleman (Suitland, MD); three step-children: Minister Shaffers Rawlings (Kimberly), Landover Hills, MD, Shari Gray (Timothy), Prince Frederick, MD and Sharon Middleton (Michael), Hughesville, MD; Nine grandchildren: Dezhianna Randall, Diamond Randall, Adrian Proctor, Michaela Middleton, Ashley Gray, Daryl Middleton, Timia Gray, Morgan Rawlings and Shaffers Rawlings; two brothers: Marshall Randall (Elizabeth) and Luther Randall (Marjorie) both of Owings, MD; three sisters: Ida Gray (Oscar), Mary Francis Coates, both of Owings, MD and Loretta Tullis (RC) Washington, DC. One aunt:  Audrey Freeman, Washington, DC and a very dear friend and cousin: Edith Chew Emerson, Chesapeake Beach, MD.Seven brothers in law: Kenneth Payne, Donald Smith, Cleveland Sellers, Robert Grant, Jeffrey Brooks, Clinton Smith and Carl Smith.Ten sisters in law: Pastor Earline Payne, Mildred Randall, Sandy Smith, Evelyn Smith, Joan Smith-Sharps, Betty Chew, Shirley Brooks, Elder Jacqueline Grant, Darlyn Smith, Yvonne Smith and Beverly Smith-Sellers.
