Obituary for PHYLLIS DENISE PARKER
Phyllis Denise Parker was born on March 5, 1946 to Victoria Samuels Parker and Clarence E. Parker Sr. in Washington, DC. She was raised in Annapolis, Maryland along with her seven siblings. Phyllis received her education in the Anne Arundel County Public School system and was a proud graduate of Wiley H. Bates, Class of 1964.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Victoria and Clarence Parker Sr. and her two brothers, William Hardesty and Clarence E. Parker Jr.

Phyllis lived in Charlotte, N.C. for many years. There she was a devoted member of New Direction Christian Center and later, Greater Temple Baptist Church. Upon her return to her Maryland, she joined and became an active member of Jesus Saves and attended with her loving nephew, Kevin.

Phyllis’ enjoyed spearheading fundraisers to support her ministry, singing, creating memorabilia for her beloved grandchildren Ava and Brandon, coloring and sharing her love for Christ with family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by her devoted children who remained by her side until she transitioned peacefully, Myrna Evans Phillips, daughter and Leroy “Lee” Evans II, son. She also leaves her grandchildren, Ava Phillips and Brandon Evans, trusted friend and father of her children, Leroy Evans Sr., brother Warren Parker; sisters Iris “Vonnie” Jacobs, Marilyn Fisher, Brenda (Leonard) Jordan and Mary “Rita” Hill. Phyllis also leaves to mourn the loving Evans Family, a host of family members and friends.
