Obituary for Nellie Cecilia Jackson

Nellie Cecilia Morris was born on February 10, 1930 to Lydia Bell and Joseph Morris in Baltimore, MD.  She had 7 brothers and 2 sisters, her being the oldest girl.
She attended school in Baltimore, MD with her fellow siblings and later moved to the country to start her life.  While living in Calvert County, she worked many years for the Board of Education and even put in years at the Calvert House.  She also worked part time as a custodian for many different banks.  During this time she met Joseph David Jackson, who in the summer of 1952 she married. Out of this union she had 1 child, Ann Jackson.  In her spare time, she loved going on trips and spending time with family and friends.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Lydia Bell, husband, Joseph Jackson, and brothers, John and Hezekiah Morris and Brooke Bell.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, a daughter, Ann Jackson-Jones; a son-in-law, Linwood Jones; 2 grandchildren, Darius Jackson and Sierra Jones;  4 brothers,  Fred Morris (Ren) of D.C., Wilson "Pee Wee" Bell (Regina) of Georgia, Robert Bell (Rose) of Connecticut, and James Bell (Margaret) of Maryland; 2 sisters, Ann Gray of Ohio and Florence Gross (Charles) of Maryland; 3 sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Bell, Henrietta Bourne, and Mary Morris of Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery 11301 Crain Highway Cheltenham, MD 20623 (map/driving directions)
