Obituary for MONIQUE MARIE HUTCHINS
Monique's (Nicky) life plan began on September 1, 1967 in Calvert County. She was given a special gift from God; the gift of love. This gift, at an early age was shared with her family and those who knew her. The ones who really knew her best were gifted with her smile.
Nicky enjoyed sharing her smile and laughter as well as some pranks with her family and friends. She attended Brooks Head Start, Appeal Elementary and Our Lady Star of the Sea where her circle of friends grew even wider. Nicky then went on to Calvert High school and Morgan State University as her life's gift grew even larger. There was no stopping her from becoming the person we all knew and loved. The true person with that special gift.
Nicky, still growing moves to LA and begins the shaping of her world when she meets Trevor, another part of her life is shared with him. Nicky and Trevor began their lives by being blessed with their beautiful daughter Maya, who is now 16. Nicky is now known as mother or mommy.
Nicky and Maya return home to Calvert County to again be with her family and to help care for her grandmother, Cora. She worked hard putting her heart and soul into any and all jobs that she worked. She continued to smile, cry, to share and deeply love those who entered her life especially her daughter Maya. Nicky taught Maya how to be that unique child born with a rare gift. Nicky's love was so unique that her family grew to include her new baby girl Makya now 11. Nicky's family is now complete.
Nicky's next stage comes with devastating news, the "C", but she takes it one day at a time, never giving up Nicky embraces her gifts and continues on her journey through life. She had a large circle of friends, too many to name or count, but she loved them all. Nicky leaves behind her babies Maya and Makya, her mother, her brothers, Anthony and Andre, friend/partner Trevor. A host of loving family: aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, special friends and godchildren.
Nicky leaves to all a special gift, a gift of love. She would want all of her family and friends to carry on her name Monique/Nicky Hutchins.
