Obituary for MILDRED D. HARMON

Mildred Harmon was born on August 10, 1933, in Prince Frederick, MD, to Moslena and Thurn
Thomas. The youngest of eight (8) children, she was educated in Calvert County, Maryland. There were five (5) sisters: Dorothy (deceased), Pauline (deceased), Alice (deceased), Mary (deceased), and Virginia. There were two (2) brothers: Howard (deceased) and Oscar (deceased).

She married James Harmon and took care of him until the time of his death. They raised two (2) sons, Alvin and Donald (Sylvia) and two (2) daughters, Bridgette and Virginia (Tyrone). She worked as a school bus driver, worked at Brooks High School in the cafeteria, did domestic work and worked in the laboratory at Calvert Memorial Hospital as a phlebotomist until her retirement.

In 1980, she began attending Bethel Way of the Cross Church under the leadership of Bishop Jacob Green. She repented and was baptized in Jesus' name and received the Gift of the Holy Spirit. Now, under the leadership of Bishop Darnell Easton, she taught Sunday School, sang on the senior choir and was President of the Missionary Board. She loved Bethel and had a special love for the young people.

Her god son, Kennedy Edmund, that she loved very much, and many spiritual, adopted sons and their wives (Corey Cromwell and Danielle, Michael Morsell and Sadie, Kevin Easton and Raven). Special love to her dear and trusted friends, Gladys Fletcher, Marion Brooks, Emma Easton, Jean Morsell, Tina Wilcox, Agnes and Alfred Jefferson, Linda Edmund, Gail Scott and a host of others. Many thanks to Chester and Annie Mackall who faithfully transported her to church. To those not mentioned, she loved you all.

She loved her grandchildren: Tessa, Latrice, Derrick, Miracle, Tiffany, Talisha, Toinette, Anthony and Sterling. She had ten great grandchildren: Kortnee, Johnathan, Jason, Taylor, Trista, Honor, Robert Jr., Shatea, William, Keilani and many nieces and nephews.

She will be missed but never forgotten.
