Monday, July 30, 2018 at approximately 9:00 pm Elder Melvin Giles surrounded by his family and friends transitioned to be with God. Melvin received his education from Pr. Frederick Elementary, and Brooks High School. His mother always thought of him as a “being a special child”, and often said in growing up as a young lad, he was different from other children his age.

Melvin had the characteristics of his grandfather George and father Joshua, as a hard worker and a great provider for his family. Also, a loving and dedicated husband and father. In 1953 he repented of his sins and was baptized in the name of Jesus. In 2005 after many years of studying, researching and reading documentaries concerning his Lord and Savior, Elder Giles was baptized again! Changing the name of his church to Bethel Apostolic of Yeshua the Messiah, Inc. (Christ Hebrew birth name). The church still operates under the leadership of Evangelist Francis & Grenada Bush, and Brother Charles Hawkins.

In 2009 after 21 years of service, dedication, and support of care to the residents of the Project Home Program, Margaret’s health began to fail, and the home which provided passion, grace, and mercy was closed.
