GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of MARY. This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
Mary Elaine Sabir-Beach was an aspiring chef, and she had a love for creation that never faded - so much so that it was intentionally passed down to her children. She loved to laugh and be silly, which was matched perfectly by the hilarity of her husband and best friend, Eugene Thomas Sabir-Beach. Mary deeply loved her three children, Joseph Omar Sabir, Kathryn Elaine Najee Sabir-Beach, and Cameron Marcus Sabir-Beach, and was always intentional about letting them know that they were loved. She consistently, even when challenged by her health, sent daily messages praying for their well-being and safety.
Eugene reflects on the beauty, sincere friendship, sweet kisses and healing hugs of his wife, and love of his life. Joseph reflects on Mary's limitless capacity to love, her intelligence, ageless wisdom, invaluable knowledge, and graceful humor which is an attribute inherited by all of her children. "Our mother's gift to advise during difficult times is something I'll forever cherish." Kathryn honors Mary's incredible insightfulness, reassuring nurturing, and everlasting warmth. Cameron cherishes memories of Mary being a phenomenal lady, best friend, and a blessing of eternal love. She, “always held it down and taught me to do the same.”
Born in New York on June 30th in 1968, Mary grew up in New York, moved to Hawaii in her childhood, met her husband in March of 1989, raised her children in a military family, and settled in Maryland. In spite of two decades of health challenges, she remained competitive, tenacious and witty. In addition to her husband, three children and her siblings: William Sabir, Ian Sabir, Aminah Sabir, Emanuel Sabir, Zarinah Sabir, and Habeebah Sabir, she is survived by her four grandchildren. Witnessing her light up and vibrate with joy at the sound of their laughter made it obvious that their visits were the highlight of her week.
Her entire family has peace in knowing that her mother, Mary Sabir, and brother, Hassan Sabir, who preceded her in passing, are waiting for her - just as she was not alone here on earth, she is not alone in rest.
