Obituary for MARION C. MACKALL
On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, Marion Catherine Mackall received her eternal rest in the Lord while at Civasta Hospital in LaPlata, Maryland. She was the Daughter of the Late Julius and Mary Chase. Marion was a native of Calvert County, MD. At an early age Marion received Christ. She attended school in Calvert County, Maryland. She was united in Holy Matrimony February 21, 1971 to Elmer Mackall, Jr. Marion served as assistant Pastor for 16 years at New Mt. Zion Apostolic Church. As Pastor of The Ministry of Love Church under her Husband Bishop Elmer Mackall, Jr. for the past 6 years she will be greatly missed by her Husband and church family. She affectionately called her husband "Pumpkin" and He affectionately called her "Slim." Marion was a member of the Traveling Angels for many years which is a "Family" gospel singing group. Marion always had a loving spirit and a passion for people. She would always tell you that she loved you. Her "signature" was her pearls and her purses. She had a passion for caring for her husband. But more than anything she loved Christ! Marion was preceded in death by her son: Otis Mackall. Her parents Julius and Mary Chase; her Father-in-Law: Elmer E. Mackall, Sr.; Two Sisters: Audrey and Mattie Chase; A Brother-in-Law: Cleveland Thomas Junior; Two Nieces: Gwendolyn Thomas and Tammy Wise.
Left to cherish her fond memories is her husband Elmer Mackall, Jr.; Her Sister: Mary R. Thomas; Brothers: Julius "Benny" Chase and George Chase (Constance). Mother-in-Law Rhatta V. Johnson; Seven Sisters-in-Law: Eilene Beverly (Irvin), Ollie Williams (Claude), Madora Jones (Henry), Mary Long (Steve), Margaret Copeland (Barry), Thelma Keyes (Lorenzo), Velma Mack (Waverly), One Brother-in-Law: Jerome Mackall (Jo Ann) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Spiritual Children: Alicia and Ward Corbin, Yvette Steele. She also leaves loving God-Children and very Special Friends: Steve and Mary Long, Patricia McCullough.
