Obituary for MARGARET LOUISE JOYNER

Margaret Louise Parker Joyner age 66 was lovingly known as “Babysis” and “Sac” was born on September 19, 1954 to the Late James Sherman Hawkins and the Late Maybell (Sadie) Elizabeth Parker. She was born in Washington, DC. Margaret took her flight and stepped into her eternal resting place on Thursday morning, January 21, 2021 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, Maryland.

Margaret was educated in the Anne Arundel County Public School System. She was blessed in 1970 with her heartbeat, with her whole world, her daughter Carla. In 1988, Margaret was united in marriage to Charles Joyner.

Margaret worked in her chosen field of Data Entry at Eagle Data and Hechinger to 1999. She was the best Data Entry Clerk in the East. She also worked at Walmart in Bowie from 1997 to 1999. Margaret became Self-Employed in 1999 and open her own franchise with Jani-King Commercial Cleaning until 2007 when she turned it over to her brother, Jerry, due to her health.

Margaret loved her family and friends unconditionally. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life. She made it a point to talk to her siblings every day. She was a giving person. If she had ever become rich, the list found in her processions proved without a doubt her love for family, friends, and even some in the community. Margaret was #1 of “The Golden Girls”, Linda #2, and Wanda #3. The outings, the trips, the movies, the dinners, the doctor’s appointments (believe it not) were all exceptional as long as seafood was involved. She really loved her crab legs, shrimp, and crabs. What a bond with the Sister-in-laws! In her spare time, especially during the pandemic, she enjoyed her many, many puzzle books.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Carla Brooks; two grandchildren, Taevon & Daevon Hamlin; three great grandchildren, Tayveon, T’mirah, and Carter Hamlin; five brothers, Calvin Rawlings, Jerry and Sherman Parker; James and Roland Hawkins; six sisters, Peggy Hawkins, Sharon Cutchember, Velma Mason, Patricia Gross, Lynn Harrod, and Nadean Williams; two sister-in-laws, Linda Parker and Wanda Jacks; three nephews, Alonzo Rawlings, Jerone and Detroy Parker; four nieces, Starlette Bourne, Tynica, Taneika, and Lakia Parker; two great nephews, Jai and Jaidyn Parker; and great niece, Ja’Riyah Ford.

Special friends, Nancy Carroll, Catherine Banks, Mildred Rawlings Proctor; devoted cousin, James Jones, just like children, Venessa McGhee, Kimberly Rawlings, and Aisha Jenkins; just like just like a granddaughter, Precious Holland. “Gone But Never Forgotten”.
