Obituary for LILLIAN LOUISE CREEK

Lillian Louise Creek ("Granny") was born in Friendship, MD on February 23, 1936 to the late Arthur Creek and Elsie Gray Creek. At the age of 74, Lillian was peacefully called home on Thursday February 3, 2011 at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
She fought a courageous fight, never complaining about her failing health over the past five years. During her lengthy illness, she was very blessed to have her family to take care of her, especially her grandson Allen Posey, Jr. She will always be remembered for her cheery attitude, perseverance, strength, and loving kindness.
Lillian was a hard working woman who also knew the importance of obtaining an education in which she was educated in the Anne Arundel County Public School System. One of her favorite activities besides cooking for her family was reading to her grandchildren.
Lillian accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, baptized in Jesus name over 30 years ago and received the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. She loved going to church worshipping, singing God's praises and reading the Holy Bible. Lillian leaves cherish memories for her loving and devoted children, George Thomas, John Thomas, Thelma Thomas, Mary Hawkins, and Sharon Posey; two daughters-in-law: Shirley Thomas and Christina Thomas; two sons-in-law: Wilson Hawkins and Allen Posey, Sr.; Seven grandchildren: Kimberly Thomas, Danny Thomas, Melanie Wolfrey, LaToya Jones, Steven Thomas, Allen Posey, Jr., and Sheena Posey; two great grandchildren: Cameron Coates and Aaliyah Thomas; two brothers: Arthur Creek and Robert Creek; four sisters-in-law: Landous Creek, Annie Creek, Martha Creek, and Virginia Creek; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by six sisters: Agnes Contee, Nena Marie Green, Dorothy Jones, Mary Jones, Frances Manion, and Annie Wilkerson; five brothers: Charles Creek, James Creek, Phillip Creek, Samuel Creek and William Creek.
