Obituary for JOSEPH CHRISTOPHER CREEK

Joseph Christopher Creek, 47, of Owings, MD passed away on November 23, 2009 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. He was born on April 10, 1962.
Joseph was raised by his grandparents, the late Wesley and Lelia Contee.
He always had his mother and step-dad, Calvin, at his side when he needed them and when he wasn't with them, for comfort, he would go to as he called them "my other mother and father," Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jones who loved him as their own.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Cooper's United Methodist Church. One of Joseph's gifts was sharing the love of Christ Jesus with everyone he encountered, with his great sense of humor and his ability to bring a smile, give a hug or whatever was necessary to spread a little joy. He loved Cooper's and couldn't wait to get to church on Sunday morning to hug and greet everyone at the door.
Joseph was employed at Southern Middle School in Calvert County. He loved his job and his coworkers. He would often share the fun he had with them and how they helped him with lunch, a ride to work, or whatever he needed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Ada Curtis, stepfather, Calvin Curtis, three brothers, five sisters, six aunts, four uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends. He also leaves an adopted daughter whom he loved very much and a faithful friend who was there for him, Amy Sewell.
