GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of JONATHAN. This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
Jonathan James Reid, Sr. was born on April 12,1962, to the late James (Colman) Reid and Clarice Reid Hall. He departed this life suddenly on September 12, 2021, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Johnny along with his eight siblings was reared in Calvert County, Maryland. He Attended Calvert County Public schools and graduated from Northern High in Owings MD. Johnny was a sub-contractor, working in construction all of his life. He was a hardworking and dedicated Husband, Father, Son and Brother. He actively participated in many ventures trying to make the county a better place. He was a member of the Calvert County Chapter of Concerned Black Men.
Johnny was a hardworking, kind, and gentle person who loved spending time with his family. He was a Member of the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church in St. Leonard where he served on the Deacon Board. Johnny enjoyed free moments on his boat (just like his Dad), doing the one thing he enjoyed most fishing.
Being a self-proclaimed “Jack-of-All Trades,” if you asked Johnny to lend you a hand you can believe he’ll do everything in his power to get it done. (Even if it was a year later) LOL. Johnny had an infectious laugh that warmed our hearts, his easygoing nature was extended to all, Including strangers. It was nothing for him to stop and help someone broke down on the road. He was loved by his neighbors on his street, and they will sorely miss him.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, his wife Deneen (Pee Wee) Wills-Reid, three children Teia Nicole Reid-Bryant, Tiffany Nicola Reid, Jonathan James Reid, Jr., three grandchildren: Tasani Jasmine Bryant, Jamee Eimaj Bryant, Jaymoni Jermain Johnson; Mother, Clarice Reid Hall, three brothers Almos Green (Florence) Vincent (Bimbo) Allen Reid, Timothy (Tim) Joel Reid (Lisa) and Andre (Andy) Lamont Reid (Britany); 4 sisters Linda Marretta Gross (Eugene), Deborah Lorraine (Debbie) Thomas, Thelma Santina Dunston (Sean), Tammy Olivia Hawkins. As well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews; great nieces and great nephews, cousins, church members and a host of friends to cherish his memory.
Johnny was preceded in death by his Father James (Coleman) and his brother Anthony (Tony) David Reid, and Nephew Antoine Leroy Green. While they all are truly missed by family and friends; we rejoice in the hope of seeing them again on the other side; until then we will carry them in our hearts.
