Obituary for JAMES H. CHASE, JR.
James Henry Chase, Jr., was born on November 16, 1947 to the late James Henry, Sr. and the late Jozepher Brooks-Chase in Calvert County, Maryland.
James Henry Chase, Jr; affectionately known as "Beezle" departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2018 at his residents in Lusby, Maryland surrounded by family and close friends. In addition to his father and mother James was preceded in death by his brother Ervin Chase, grandson James Robert Chase and great-granddaughter Shamyia Johnson.
James was educated in the Calvert County Public School System. James worked for Bullock Construction for over 35 years before his health started failing him. James was a hardworking man and providing for his family was his main priority in life. He had a very strong work ethic and had no problem telling you "If you want something get off your Behind and work for it".
James was truly a family man and loved spending time with his family and friends. From visiting his parents every Sunday morning, crabbing with his Buddy 's at Leitches Wharf, enjoying family cookouts, dancing the night away at Dirty Dukes (Oh yes Beezle could dance) or just spending Sundays at home watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys, he loved being around his family. He had a great love for his grandchildren, especially his granddaughter Lanita Long, their bond was unbreakable.
James leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife of 41 years; Ann Chase; three sons: James Chase, II (Emiko), Timothy Chase (Keisha) and George Chase (Brenda); two daughters: Shelisa King-Doctor (Gerald) and Cassandra Tyler (Carlton); four brothers: Isiash Mackall (Minnie), Joseph Mackall (Brenda), Howard Long (Thelma) and James Long (Paulette): four sisters: Gladys Gantt, Josephine Harris (Odell), Leslie Broome (Thomas) and Celestine Sewell (Amos); his in-laws Floyd Height, David Height (Delores), Spencer Height (Sabrina), Eloise Murry, Beverly Brooks (Wayne), Sarita Harris (Phillip), Gayle Scott, Patricia Brooks and Michelle Height; three uncles: Elmo, Clarence and Chester Mackall; seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two special nieces and a host of other relatives.
