Obituary for JAMES FREELAND
James Isaac Freeland was born March 29, 1926 in Prince Frederick, Maryland to Leatha and Walter Freeland. James quietly departed his life January 27, 2011.He received his education in Calvert County. Prior to his untimely death, he worked for Calvert County Public Schools. He also did various jobs for Jack Hammond. He loved with a passion farming which he did all his life starting as a young child. James raised tobacco for many years until the opted to the buyout of his tobacco.James was extremely family oriented. He enjoyed seeing and talking with his family and friends. His favorite past times were visiting his sister Mildred and talking with his best friend, James Hicks. He also loved talking football with his rival Cowboy Fans. He was a die hard Redskins Fan. If you ever saw James, he had on his Redskins hat; football season or not. James favorite saying was "Hey Now".James leaves to cherish his fond memories; sister Mildred Crosby, daughter; Addie B. Fowlin, son-in-law; Rodolph B. Fowlin, two special nieces; Dorothy Watson and Virginia Magruder (Maurice), four grand-children; James G. Washington, Michael Parker, Amanda Elaine Parker, and John S. Collins all of Easton, PA, four great-grandchildren; Jahsheem, Michael Parker of Easton, PA, Kayla Jasmine Dieappia of Atlanta, GA, and Gregory Arron Taylor of Allentown, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents Leatha and Walter Freeland, three brothers; George (Punkin), Walter (Benny), and Raymond Freeland, and one sister; Mary Tyler (Bea).James's sense of humor brought joy, excitement, and love to all the lives he touched. His warmth and smile will be remembered and missed by all.
