Obituary for IRVING JOHN WALLACE
Irving John Wallace was born on May 5, 1951 in Calvert County Maryland. He was the fourth child to the late John and Georgia Adams Wallace. Irving suddenly departed this life on Sunday, December 5, 2016.
During his youth and until his adult years, Irving attended the Church of God in Christ Church in Lothian Maryland. He played the guitar and participated in many activities. This was under the leadership of the Late Elder Raymond Wills and now, Elder Derrick Hawkins serves, as Pastor.
Irving was born and raised in Calvert County Maryland as a farm boy. He attended and graduated from Calvert Senior High School. After school, he began his career in the Prince George's Public School System where he worked until he retired as a Building Supervisor in 2000. Afterwards, Irving became self-employed, owned and operated his Janitorial and Lawn Service businesses.
Irving was united in marriage to the late Phyllis Marie Chapman Wallace and from this union they had 2 children. Also, in their lives was a very special grandson who they raised and loved dearly. After his wife death, on June 17, 2010, Irving later remarried to Emilia Sebastian.
We all know that Irving love to talk, joke and was extremely humorous. You never knew what to expect. Whether he hurt your feelings or not, one thing was for sure he always gave you a big laugh. Irving portrayed roughness but we all knew he was a big teddy bear, with a big heart!
Irving enjoyed life to the fullest! He loved his family dearly, and he and his brother were inseparable. Irving shared a bonding relationship with close friends Dwayne Jones and Craig Emerson. Also due to Noah, Irving’s home was the "sleepover" location for little cousin, Dajon Claggett. Irving's second love was his Harley Davidson bike and going to the race track. Oh and we cannot forget his routine visits to Wal-Mart.
Irving was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, his mother and father, one brother (Lemelton Wallace) and one sister (Crystal Wallace).
Irving leaves a legacy of laughter and love and cherish memories to Emilia Sebastian, wife, two children: Jamie and Jenell Wallace; one grandson: Noah Sesker; one grand-daughter: Jordyn Robinson; two brothers; Clyde Curtis, Jr. and Freddie Wallace; one sister-in-law; Dorothy Mae Curtis, two aunts: Mrs. Lillian Adams and Dorothy Adams; one uncle: Melvin Emerson, Jr.; initial marriage: six sister-n-laws; three brother-n-laws; current: five sister-n-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Irving's wit, his silliness, and laughter will truly be missed by all and he will forever have a place in our family history and our hearts.
