Howard Chase was born July 15, 1933 to the late Jack Chase and Cora Tyler
Parker in Baltimore, MD. He transitioned to his. new life on November 23, 2018
at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD.
Howard received his education in the public school system of Calvert County,
Maryland. He completed the sixth grade and then had to stay home to help his
family in the tobacco fields. On September 18, 1970, he was united in holy
matrimony to Ida Mae Chase. They were perfect in their love for each other and
raised 5 children together; Michael, Timothy, Paul, Stanton, and Katina They
also played a big part in raising 2 of their Grandchildren, Michael & Kortinai.
During his early years of employment, Howard worked in the tobacco fields to
help support his family. He worked at Bectel doing constructions for a few
years. He later went on to drive a cement truck for Chaney Enterprises. Howard
continued to work there until he became injured on the job and unable to
work.
In the church, Howard served as the head of the board of trustees and was president
of the Usher Board during his tenure at Eastern United Methodist
Church. He was always willing to help whenever and wherever he was needed.
He was this way in the community as well. Everyone could depend on Howard
to come to the rescue if they needed anything from changing a flat tire to working
on a furnace. God had given him the gift of his hands and he used them to
help whenever he could.
