Obituary for GREGORY CLAUDE TURNER
Gregory Claude Turner was born September 17, 1965 to Sterling Turner(deceased) and Susie Spriggs Du pp ins at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. He was called to rest on July 9, 2019. He was the oldest of two sons.
Gregory received his education in the Anne Arundel County and Prince George's County Public School Systems. Gregory began his work career at Gallaudet University in the maintenance department where he later obtained certifications as an electrician technician and HVAC technician. Gregory worked at various companies as either an electrician or HVAC tech.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing basketball, watching movies, playing the PlayStation and most of all his favorite sport of fishing. His finest catch was a 43 ½ inch rockfish. He would also spend time riding dirt bikes with his younger brother Shaun. Gregory also loved to tinker, if anything needed fixing, he was there.
Growing up, Greg was always adventurous, whether riding bicycles over ramps, playing in the woods, building forts, and whatever he could get into. His grandmother Dorothy kept him on his toes. She also took him on trips to Florida, amusement parks and to the beach. Greg enjoyed hanging out and having fun with his cousins, especially Delanie.
On December 22, 1989 Gregory married Yolanda Leftwich and from their union were two beautiful daughters, Nikita and Chardonnay. With his children he would frequently take them to the mall to spend "mad money", go on fishing trips, ride with him in his HVAC work van, play games, watch the latest movies and on beautiful days spend time in his garden.
Gregory, "Beaver" as he was often called touch the lives of many people. His easy-going personality and his eagerness to have a good time is what gravitated people towards him. He could build long memories within the first five minutes of meeting him.
