Obituary for GRACE PARKER
Grace Parker, daughter of the late Benjamin Parker Jr. and Violet Hurley Parker, came to be on July 9, 1941 in Prince Frederick, MD. She peacefully transitioned to her new home in heaven on May 20, 2018 surrounded by her dedicated family. As a loving single mother of Rhonda (Fannie), Tammie, Emory, Pamela and Kimberly, she provided and sustained her family with minimal resources and a determined spirit. She was genuine and spoke her mind freely but was also armed with a ready smile for friend or foe. She served her family, church and community well. Her joy for life and pride for her family gave her many things to boast about including her grandchildren Tron, Joey, Dorien and Jocelyn. Her family bonds extends to son-in-laws Joe and Paul, sisters Estella, Mary Ann and Gloria, brother Waverly and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her service to the Lord was exercised at Carroll Western United Methodist Church on the numerous committees she served and in her gift of fundraising. She was a fighter and took up the banner (and petitions) in support of several community causes. Those who crossed her path were blessed beyond measure by her conversations, wit and charm. May our beautiful memories keep us all uplifted and strong.
