Obituary for GOLDBURNE DELROY MARIANO
Goldburne Delroy Mariano was born in Hattiville Belize, on May 29, 1969 to Luke and Marjorie Mariano.
Goldburne received his education from St. Joseph Primary School, Belize Junior Secondary School #1, and Belize Technical College. As a student he was very active in the community and church activities. His dedication and desire for youth empowerment continued as he became an active member of The United Democratic Party and was then selected to represent Belize at the Youth Conference.
In 1989, Goldburne migrated to the United States where he attended Nazarene University in Ohio on a soccer scholarship. He had a strong love for diversified music and nature, and frequently shared this passion. In 1996, he was joined in holy matrimony to his beloved wife, Yvonne James.
Goldburne always demonstrated the importance of providing holistic care for his family, a foundation he had begun building in his youth. By trade, he had no limitations as he acquired many skills in the capacity of employee and employer. He was a Carpenter, Sanitation Engineer, Entrepreneur, Instructor/ Teacher, Contractor; just to name only a few. He took great pride in training others to reach their optimal growth.
Goldburne, known as Goldie was willing to help anyone in whatever capacity throughout his lifetime. Integrity, compassion, loyalty, and good character were just a few of his core values. He would always say "Your word is all you own, people can take away all you own, but not your word." He was a strong man of God. He demonstrated this faith and commitment in his daily life, and as God's servant at Emmanuel SDA Church, in his beloved state Maryland. Goldburne's legacy will be carried on for generations.
Goldburne was preceded in death by his sister Cecilia and brother Linsdale. He leaves to cherish his memories, life, love, and service; his wife: Yvonne, daughters: Eira and Alana, grandsons: Simao and Maximilliano, parents: Luke and Marjorie, siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, inlaws, and a host of extended family, and friends.
