Obituary for FRED R. KEEMER, SR.
Fred R. Keemer, Sr., 66, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on December 23, 2009 at Washington Adventist Hospital, Takoma Park, MD.
Fred "Bear" Rudolph Keemer, Sr. was born May 12, 1943 in Calvert County Maryland to the late Mildred Viola Keemer and the late Robert Cooper. God called him to rest on December 23, 2009. Fred was a member of The Love of Jesus Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Robert Holland.Fred was educated in the Calvert County Public School system. He went on to pursue entrepreneurship in owning his own masonry company. After giving up the business he went on to work as a brick layer for several other masonry companies. His love for music led him to play the guitar for many local gospel groups, here in the county. Bear was also known for his million dollar smile.
Fred leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and very devoted wife Mable Keemer (Kippy), three daughters, Marilyn Randall (Weldon), Marlene Freeland (Philbert), Aretha Beverly (Pondnell); five sons, Marlin Brooks, Fred, Jr. (Rita), Gerald (Michele), Lorenzo and Eric; eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy and Barbara Jones (Lloyd); three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Belton Keemer; one aunt, Roberta Brown; father-in-law, William Jones (Jeanette); six sisters-in-law, Shirley Wills (James), Dorothy Holland (Andrew, Jr.), Ophilia Brooks (Joseph), Theresa Harris (Marvin), Veronica Claggett (Melvin), Verlene Wallace (Galand); two brothers-in-law, Henry Jones (Madora), Forrest Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friends: Oliver Harrod, Eugene Ward, Rodney Sewell, Joseph Brooks, Larry Gross, Maurice Downs, Bishop Robert Holland and Gralyn Long.
Preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly and Carla Keemer; one brother, Norman Keemer; mother-in-law, Catherine Jones; one brother-in-law, Donald Stewart; one sister-in-law, Betty Jean Stewart;
