Franklin Roosevelt Campbell Sr. (Frank) was born on July 27, 1941 to Hattie and James Campbell, both deceased. He departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Frank was one of twelve children. He had six brothers and five sisters. He was the seventh child and the baby boy. Frank was educated in the Calvert County Public Schools.
On March 3, 1962 Frank married his sweetheart, Eary Ray and shortly after they moved to New York and finally to Pennsylvania. Frank was employed as a foreman with Grumman Corporation while in New York. He worked as a medical equipment repairman and a maintenance man while in Pennsylvania. Frank and Eary were blessed with fifty four years of marriage and five children.
Frank loved visiting his family in Calvert County, especially his brother Robert and his mother-in-law, Helen. His hobbies included working on crossword puzzles, watching Dancing with the Stars and soap operas. He loved WWE wrestling and the Philadelphia Eagles football team. He was also a 33rd Degree Mason.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Hattie and James Campbell, and five brothers; Thomas, William, George, John and James Campbell.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Eary, five children; Tony, Franklin Jr., Eric (Mikiko), Monica (John) and Paula(Paul); 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Campbell (Dorothy), five sisters, Violet M. Campbell, Betty AM. Carter(Buddy), Hattie J. Scott, Ursella G. Campbell and Patricia Washington (Terrence); mother-in-law, Helen D. Ray; in-laws, Carolyn Easton (Joseph), Rhoda Slade (Robert), Wilson Ray(Deborah), Joan Ray, Douglas Ray(Joyce) and Terri Ray, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
