GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Florencetine Jones Randall was born July 17, 1936 to the late Leon and Florence Victoria
Jones. She received her angel wings on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
Florencetine, affectionately known as "Doll baby" was born and raised in Chesapeake
Beach, MD and attended Calvert County Public Schools. As a young teen, she did light baby-sitting and worked in the kitchen in local restaurants, such as Wesley Stinnetts. As she got older, she became a domestic worker for various families in Prince George's County.
She was a member of St. Edmonds United Methodist Church for many years. She was a faithful usher, member of United Methodist Women and the head of the Flower Circle. Later in life, Florencetine joined Church of God in Huntingtown, MD. There she served as head
of the Usher Board, a member of the Hospitality Board and sang on the choir. Florencetine adored her church family!
Florencetine absolutely loved her family. Her husband, Thomas Randall was the love of her life. They shared over 50 years of blissful love together, a storybook courtship and marriage. They actually made the cover of the local newspaper, The Calvert Recorder. Their love jumped off the page into any readers heart. As a couple, they raised a close-knit family,
Earl, Wallace and Allen Jones, and their beloved daughter, Linda Randall. While Marisa Templeman was the granddaughter, Florencetine was quick to let you know, "But I raised her!" And she was the apple of her eye.
Florencetine had the gift to gab. She would carry on a conversation with anyone; giving her advice whether they asked for it or not. Florencetine was truly a piece of work, never bit
her tongue. What came to mind came out! Also, she loved to talk on the telephone. She spoke to her sister, Margaret, every day without failure. Every evening, she and Thomas
loved to watch Family Feud together.
Florencetine was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother, Stanley "Pick" Jones, her sister, Drusilla Russell and brothers-in-law, John Russell, Sr., James Hall, Lawrence Jones and Ellsworth Hutchins, her two nephews, Franklin "Dickie" Carroll and Charles Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Thomas Randall; her sons, Earl Jones, Sr., Wallace Jones, Sr. and Allen Jones; her daughter, Linda Randall; her grandchildren: Debbie Jones, Sylvia Jones, Earl Jones, Jr., Nathaniel Jones, Wallace Jones, Jr., Christopher Jones,
Marisa Templeman, and Jasmine Jones; her sister, Margaret Hall, her sisters-in-law, Doris Jones, Mary Hutchins, and Dorothy Jones; aunts, Ruth Coates and Ernestine Jones. She will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including special friend, Thelma Sutton and god-son, DarRell Adams, Sr.
