Obituary for EVERETT BOOTH
Everett Booth was born on May 3, 1941 in Calvert County, Md. He was one of eleven children of the late Leroy and Nannie Booth. There was ten boys and one girl.
He departed this life on Tuesday April 21, 2020 at Calvert Health Hospital in Prince Frederick, Md.
Everett attended Mt. Hope School in Sunderland Md, and Brooks High School in Prince Frederick, Md.
He was drafted into the United States Army for four years. He traveled many places and spent a lot of time in Nevada. He often talked about how hot it was there. With an honorable discharge he came home and worked for many years with Charles H. Thompson Construction Company in Washington D.C., building the Federal Reserve Building and the National Art Gallery. His final place of employment was with Morgan E. Russell in Huntingtown, Md. until his retirement.
Earlier in life Everett was an avid Photographer. He loved taking pictures at Weddings, Anniversaries and family gatherings; his late brother Eugene often helped him. Everett loved to cook. His specialty was his Beef Chili. It was the Hottest Chili in the world! You had to drink water after every bite. He finally admitted a few months ago it was because he didn’t want us to eat so much and we didn’t. He held that head back and chuckled as only he could. Everett was a loving Kind-hearted Uncle and Brother to his family and others. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Nannie Booth. His six brothers Alfred, Charles, Frank, George, Roger and Eugene (Grace) and only sister Volley Brooks. Now a week later one of his twin brothers Wilbert Booth passed. Two special friends Sherman and Grey Carter that preceded him in death. Everett leaves to cherish his memories two brothers Gilbert (Marjorie), Walter (Agnes). Three sister-in-law’s – Mary, Ruth, Sylvia Booth. He leaves a host of nieces and nephews and friends. A special nephew Gerald Broom that checked on him almost daily. His niece Sharon Brooks.
Thank you Gerald & Sharon. I pray that God will bless you both the same and more as you have bless Everett. I think he would like that too. To everyone that helped Everett along the way, Thank you and May God Bless you.
