each stage of the grieving process.
Ella Mae Sewell- Claggett was born on September 1, 1931 to the late Dan and Alberta Sewell in Calvert County, Maryland.
Ella Mae was educated through the Calvert County Public School Systems. Ella Mae was happily married to the love of her life James Claggett. Out of that beautiful union she gave birth to four wonderful children Clarence and Patricia Claggett and John and Hamilton Stepney. Ella Mae had the privilege of being a homemaker and a stay at home mom.
Ella Mae enjoyed traveling and frequently did so throughout the Washington Metropolitan area visiting family and friends. Ella Mae had a smile that could light up any room that she walked into. Although, she was a quiet person she was always the life of the party once she warmed up to the crowd.
Once Ella Mae started to dance it was hard to get her to stop, she loved her oldies but goodies and a great conversation. She was most overjoyed with being a grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was such a kind, loving, caring, and compassionate mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was always willing to help anyone out if she could and would give you the shirt off her back if you allowed her to.
