Obituary for DRUSCILLA MITCHELL
Druscilla Mitchell was born February 8, 1919, to the late Edward and Rosetta Johnson. Druscilla departed this life on March 7, 2022, at the phenomenal age of 103.
To her family and friends, she was fondly known as “Drus.” Druscilla was married to the late Nathaniel Mitchell. This beautiful union birthed six children. Before the decline of health in later years, Druscilla loved to cook and garden.
Druscilla was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. Druscilla was preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel, one daughter Barbara, brothers Ernest, James, Albert, Louis, Pinkney, Howard, and Lymus, her sister Jeanette and two grandsons, Arnez and Nanez.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories of her daughters Yeltze Camp (Deaver) and Marty Mitchell. Her sons Nathaniel Mitchell Jr. (Doris), Clayton Mitchell (Brenda), and Thomas Mitchell. Her grand-children: Angie, Odessa (Dexter), Odyssey (OJ), Clayton (Little Clay-ton), Sonya, and Chaconi. Her great-grandchildren: Jerron, Daeshawn, Jaden, Trinity, Lanez (LJ), Christopher, Tijasha, Zahara, Kyleel, Kwa-zin, Laila, Mikaila, Destiny, and Syma. Her great-great-grandchildren: London, Delailah, Dominic, Cali, Denali, Denver, Bella, Malachi, Ami-yah, Kaila, Beverly, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
