Obituary for DIANNE CALSINA BEKELE

Master Sgt. Dianne Calsina Harvey-Bekele, began her journey on April 3, 1952 to Myrtle Elizabeth Kent-Harvey and the late Elder Julius (Buck) Marshall Harvey. Her journey ended on Monday, July 21, 2014.

Dianne was baptized in Jesus Name at the Apostolic Faith Church of Jesus Christ the Lord, Inc., under the late Bishop Wilbert Simmons in 1974 and she received the precious gift of the holy ghost, speaking in other tongues. Her favorite scripture was James 1 :2-3 "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

Dianne loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Although she never had children of her own, she treated her family as if she gave birth to them herself.

Dianne was employed at Boys Village of Maryland in Cheltenham, MD as an administrative assistant in the late 70's and thereafter enlisted in the United States Army Reserve on April 14, 1976. She was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Fort Benning, Georgia, and St. Louis, Missouri. After retiring from the military in 2012, Dianne worked as a Security Guard for Garret/USA and Freddie Mac until her illness in 2013.

Robert) Jones, Debra, Darlicia, Detoria (Garland) Mason, Dovena, Dakota, Sgt. Dytalis - Veteran (Staff Sgt. David) Cowan, and Dichina.
