Obituary for DENNIS W. BROOKS, JR.
Dennis Willis Brooks, Jr., was born on February 11, 1935 and departed this life on May 22, 2019. Dennis was born to the late Dennis Brooks Sr. and Lena Willet Brooks and was only educated in Calvert County Schools for a short time.
Dennis's father was a farmer, so fanning was his life until he began working in construction. He worked for years with his boss and good friend, Donald Brown, doing brick laying work. He also worked many years for Ms. Agnes Buckler and Mrs. Margert Berry doing an array of odd jobs on their properties.
Dennis' sister Elsie made sure her brother was well taken care of. Every Thursday was "take care of my brother day". She took the time to shave Dennis and cut is hair and drove him to his doctor's appointments. Once he was admitted at the nursing home she visited with him every day.
Dennis was preceded in death by his Sister, Joan Porter and his brothers Larry Brooks and Allen Brooks. He is survived by his long-time friend, Susan Oliver; three children: Dennis Brooks ill (Rose), Alexander (Balena) and Caroline; Grandchildren: Jason (Pam), Levshell, Hari, Nezaysa, Addison, Anion (Stephnie); Great-grandchild: Zion; six sisters, Jean Johnson, Elsie Rice, Rosalie Harris, Brenda Worjloh, Martha Brooks, Eleanor and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
