Obituary for DENISE DARCELL REID
Our beloved Denise Darcell Reid was born January 22, 1957, in Washington, DC.
Denise’s formal education began in Washington, DC and ended with a high school diploma from H.D. Woodson. Because of her out spoken character, she began to make a career in the Hospitality industry and with Environmental Services. Everywhere she worked, she was well liked and loved. She was a member of Metrotone Baptist Church in Washington, DC. Denise’s loved to travel. She went on numerous cruises. She enjoyed reading and her puzzle books. She loved to cook and she enjoyed visiting “the country” as she called Calvert County with her grandchildren.
On Sunday, March 13, 2016, God saw fit to call her home to rest. Denise leaves to cherish precious memories: two daughters, Lorraine and Shannon; one son, James (Cheryl); four grandsons, David, D’Marcus, Caron and Santana; three granddaughters, Destinee, Cynthia, Saleema; two step-daughters, Kayla and Meeshaun and a host of relatives, friends and colleagues.
Denise was preceded in death by parents Allnutt, Jr. and Flora Reid; sister, Sylvia Reid; brother, Michael Reid and a host of loved ones gone but not forgotten.
