Obituary for CLEO STENSON
Cleo Stenson, 62, of Clinton, MD passed away on December 21, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. Cleo Elizabeth Stenson was born August 23, 1947 in Lake Wales, Florida, to the late Joe N. Hobbs, Sr. and Cleo Hobbs-Ross. She attended school in Lake Wales, before relocating to Rochester, New York and graduated from Madison High School.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a loyal member of the First Baptist Church. Upon relocation, she continued her spiritual development by uniting with the House of God.
Cleo married the late King Solomon Stenson and 3 sons were born. She later relocated to Alexandria, Virginia. She became a full time mother and homemaker.
Cleo leaves to mourn her sons King Solomon (Cynthia), Liberatore (Allison), Thurlow (Rhonda); 7 grandchildren Ashley, Syeve, Alyssa, Aleya, Anaya, King Solomon IV, and Nimrod; 4 sisters Eunice Burch, Rev. Georgia (Elder Mack) Dillard, Dora (John) Thomas, Mary (Terry) McCrae; 2 brothers Joe N. (Myrna) Hobbs, Cecil Hobbs, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Sewell Funeral Home, Prince Frederick, MD with Rev. Allen Tucker officiating.The interment was at Southern Memorial Gardens, Dunkirk, MD. The pallbearers were Vincente Thomas, Antonio Thomas, Charles Hawkins, Derrick Burch, Lavandrius McCrae, and Keith Parker
