Obituary for CHESTER EVANDER TERRY
Chester Evander Terry, son of the late Evander and Miranda Terry was born on October 2nd 1956 in Scotland County, North Carolina. He left peacefully to be with God on March 25, 2010 in Orange County, California.
During his early years Chester was involved with the Future Farmers of America and the 4-H Club. He graduated from Scotland High School. He further went on to attend North Carolina A&T where he received his Bachelor of Science in Software/Electrical Engineering.
After graduation Chester worked for Department of the Navy in Arlington, Virginia. While attending Arlington Church of Christ he met and married Maria Ann Terry and that union produced two children Seth and Ivana Terry.
Chester relocated to Naval Air Warfare Center, Warminster PA. Later he relocated to Patuxent Naval Air Station as a Software Engineer.
Chester was a outgoing person who love to met and greet people in the name of the Lord. He was a faithful and active member of DC Regional Christian Church, Concern Black Men of Calvert County, A&T Alumni Organization and numerous organization.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Maria Ann Terry and two children (son) Seth Terry and (daughter) Ivana Terry, Sister Norma McLeod, brother Leon McLeod (deceased), aunt Annie Worth, uncle Joshua Worth of North Carolina, mother-in-law Margaret Savage and a host of many family and friends
