Charles Johnson Jr. was born on July 30, 1952 to Charles Johnson Sr. and Henrietta Commodore in Prince Frederick, MD. Charles also knows as “Charlie” received his education in Calvert County Public School System and then joined the United States Army; honorably discharged. In 1977 he moved to Lusby, MD and started his career as a Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment operator for Thomas L. Hance, Inc. He retired from Thomas L. Hance, Inc. in 2007 and began working with his son at SJ. Johnson, Inc. in 2009 until God called him home.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father Charles Johnson Sr., one sister Joyce Johnson (Baby Sis) and one brother Danell Johnson (Eggie).

Charlie enjoyed fishing, fixing things, hanging with family and friends, being adventurous, a social butterfly, just full of lively spirit daily and spreading his love with everyone that crossed his path. He never took life for granted and lived each day as if it was his last.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife Vera L. Johnson; children, Lil Charlie, Saquane (Kerri), Shenika (Ryan), (Adopted daughter Charisse Harris); Mother, Henriette Commodore; Brothers, James Chase (Annette), Robert Chase, (Carlene) and Troy Johnson (Lorraine); Sister; Christine Chase, Brenda Commodore; Sisters-in-Law, Myra, Christine, Roberta, Agnes, Diane ; Grandchildren, Kyra, Dontashia, Kayla, Dijonna, Jourdan, Daylanna, Avery, Aiden, Jaquane, Kaiden; Great Grand-Child, Keylen; Best Friends, Danny, Jason, Jermaine, Timmy and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
