Obituary for CAROLYN YVONNE MILLER
Carolyn Miller was born on April 20, 1957 to James Jones and Russellene Gray. Carolyn was born and raised in Calvert County, MD.
She attended Mt. Hope Elementary School and later went to Brooks High School in Prince Frederick, MD, she graduated in 1975 from Northern High School located in Owings, MD.
During her teen years she worked as a waitress at Uncle Nick's Place. Later Carolyn moved to Prince Georges County where she then soared selling Avon and Tupperware. In 1981 she was offer a job with National Council of Senior Citizen where she worked for 35 years and retired in 2016. During those years Carolyn took a passion in selling Crystal, Copper, home interior and scented candles. She loved doing home demonstrations of Home Interior's products to help her clients beautify their homes. Carolyn also assisted in fundraising for various organizations and schools. In 2008 Carolyn campaigned for President Obama which she loved. She became a collector of President Obama and Michelle items.
Carolyn was a mother of two, Gerwin Morsell and Flomeeka Motley. She lived her life to the fullest with a deep passion for the Lord, Oh how she loved Him! Carolyn was a member of Royal Oak Pentecostal Church located in Landover, MD for many years. She later moved her membership to Alexander Memorial Baptist Church and served as a faithful member. Most saw Carolyn as a stern straight forward person. Carolyn loved everyone and didn't take no foolishness. She had a great way of showing her love by helping anyone in any way she could. She had the prettiest smile. Even through her sickness she smiled and never complained. She would always answer "I'm alright".
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Gerwin Morsell; her daughter, Flomeeka Motley; grandchildren; Ashley Morsell, Kyana Morsell, Adrian Bruce, Champagne Spriggs, Davon Wallace, Gianni Morsell, Khyrell Winchester, Cortez Smith, Sariah Smith, Santrice Smith, Lilianna Tilghman, and Kamori Tilghman; five great-grandchildren; three brothers; Earl Gray (Debra), Galand Wallace Gean), and Conrad Wallace (Doretha); five sisters; Paulette Sutton (Larry), Ringgold Clayton, Joyce Clark (Eddie), Amy Holland (Clayton) and Endora Holland; two aunts, Gertrude Plater and Barbara Beverly (Macolm); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Russellene Gray; father, James Jones; Father known to her, Paul Clayton; two nephews, Daniel Clark, Jr. (DJ); Perrier Clayton; one niece, Melissh Garrison; grandparents, Russell and Rebecca Gray.
