There are condolences waiting approval on ANNIE's Tribute wall

Annie Howe Mason, 88, of Saint Leonard, MD passed away on November 24, 2009 at her residence in Saint Leonard, MD. Annie Howe Mason, daughter of the late Oriville Thomas Howe and Iona Wallace was born on July 29, 1921 in Prince Frederick, Maryland. She was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her home in St. Leonard, Maryland.
Mama Annie (as she was affectionately known) was educated in the Calvert County Public School System. She later attended Adult Education classes.
In May of 1942, Annie was united in holy matrimony to the late Lawrence G. Mason. From this union, a beloved daughter (Muriel Mason) was born. She also embraced a loving step-son, Glen Mason. As a meticulous homemaker, Mama Annie was well known for her moist chocolate cakes and tasty homemade root beer.
She took delight in helping with the nurturing of her grandson, Perry. Her love for her family led her to hosting many family reunions at her home. She was known for being honest and straight forward. Mama Annie was very generous in giving to those who she knew were in need. Some of her hobbies included reading, listening to music, grooming her plants and traveling. She especially enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City where she would visit her former school teacher, Mrs. Olive Gray.
Mama Annie's favorite hymn was "Jesus Is All the World to Me". She sang with the Utopian Choral Singers during her membership at Brooks United Methodist Church. The group was featured on WANN radio station of Annapolis under J.B. Johnson. In 1995, Mama Annie came back to Brooks Church under the leadership of Pastor Belu-John. Her heart, mind and soul were open to God's Will. So in the year 1999 she became one of the founding members of Healing and Deliverance, where she found joy and love in her Pastor and the Family. She would always say, "I tell you, I ain't seen nothing like him", referring to her pastor and his love for all.
She leaves with loving memories, a devoted daughter, Muriel Mason, a step-son, Glen Mason, one grandson whom she loved as her own, Perry Mason, one brother-in-law, Blondell Mason, one sister-in-law, Ruth Mason, her loving Pastor, Prophet Apostle Aniachi C. Belu-John, the Healing and Deliverance Family, and a host of adored nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband Lawrence, Sisters Amanda Howe and Mildred Tibbs, and Brother Thomas Howe.
